It wasn’t long ago that Ancelotti was the messiah and Everton were going to be challenging for the title.
Bang average side, just think they chose him over Moyes 😄😄

COYI He’s not been scoring but he’s got a few assists. IMO he’s been by far our most productive attacking player for a while

I think I read ( admitted via GSB apologist site C&H) that Bowen has been playing for a while with a slight illness or something and Moyes and co are having to "manage him". A bit like with Antonio who is being "managed".
In other words we have 2 players who are playing but not 100%.
While we have to hope that Moyesiah and coaching team can keep up the levels of performance, some "cracks" do seem to be appearing finally with injuries etc.. ( the aforementioned ones, Ogbonna ).
The fixture list is looking tougher too. While it would be great to hang in around the top 4, I suspect we may well slide a bit now. Hope to be proved wrong by Lingard being a revelation and scoring shed loads but that is wishful thinking methinks?

terry-h 12:39 Mon Feb 15 Re: Saturday football If Antonio doesn't play, we will probably have to rely on Soucek or Dawson from corners or free kicks. Our attackers don't seem able to hit a barn door with a banjo.( yes Benrahmi I'm referring to you)
Indeed. It is eighteen appearances and counting with no goalscoring contribution so far from ZERO GOALS Benrahma.
If Antonio doesn't play then we can add Lingard to the goalscoring potential group alongside Soucek and Dawson. Bowen and Fornals do also at least occasionally chip in with some goals (unlike our third most expensive signing ever),

It isn't a year is it he's only been great since first lock down so from July, the whole team were shit before that.. He's scored about 2 goals before lock down, yes again his leading the line was good but he wasn't scoring, hence my point.

Manuel - it isn't a snipe at Antonio at all, before the spell after lockdown he was never that good in front of goal, he then couldn't go wrong.
He still leads the line really well but has missed loads of chances.. How many times have you seen players go on scoring streaks like him for a short spell but then dry up.
I'm just hoping it's not the case, yes he's scored a couple but missed a loads as well as the old Antonio used to all the time.
How the fuck is that sniping at him, the only one sniping here is you.
I'm just hoping it isn't the case, because he's all we have ffs.

Mike, for the first time in donkey's years, that mix doesn't concern us one bit. Hope the barcodes win.

If we win, a Chelsea/Newcastle draw is probably the better outcome of that game - Keeps us 4th and the barcodes down in the mix.

Results overall have gone pretty well for us, we just need do our part and beat Sheffield United, up to 4th and 42 points, all be it for an hour or 2 if Chelsea beat Newcastle, Hopefully they don’t and we can stay 4th
Mind you every time I get optimistic West Ham we inevitably fuck it up.......
Fingers crossed this season that changes.

I never thought I'd say this but Burnley Fulham could be a cracker. If any of the bottom three has an outside chance of surviving, it's them.
Scott is turning into a decent manager, which will piss off the usual suspects on here.

Fraser, Soucek and Rice are a natural midfield combination who rarely get caught out . Soucek is a great player (worth shitloads as is rice)however most goals have come from set pieces long may them last I suggested Bowen,he’s got two good feet to play striker if Antonio’s unfit as opposed to benrahma,Fornals, lanzini, lingard. Who else? Most supporters praised Bowen and Soucek when they were bought.Bowen started off a good buy but is now getting questioned by some(constantly subbed first) He’s a big signing a ninety grand a week merchant ,I’m suggesting give him a go as a striker of sorts (there’s no one else) fingers crossed.

What's with all the little snipes at Antonio, lately? Still pining for Haller? So he hasn't been great for a few games, it happens, just last month he scored the winner in 2 home games, so hardly lost his shooting boots. He has been great up top for us now for at least a year or so, but you call that a purple patch? You are weird.

Antonio isn't our best scoring option, Soucek is.
Hopefully he'll find his shooting boots again, he's never been a great finisher. I just hope the months after lockdown and before his injury wasn't just a purple patch and he can get back to that.

It’ll be a big game for Bowen tomorrow.Feel a bit sorry for the bloke who’s the first get subbed and might have knocked his confidence a bit. He’s probably our best scoring option if Antonio’s out, needs to put in a big performance tomorrow, fingers crossed.
